And its a wrap: World Cup 2018 belongs to France

It's been a month-long excitement at our house, especially because my husband is French and I am Peruvian.

My family has been talking down on France since the group game teams were announced-- gentle teasing of course. France-Peru game was set to be on June 21st and there was hardly any discussion that France even had a chance to even get out of the group stage. And to top it off we took a trip to Peru during Christmas season and Pierre was exposed to the half-jokingly boastful soccer talk from my uncles. All jokes aside, every Peruvian was beaming with just the thought that Peru was going to Russia as part of the World Cup's 32 countries, after 36 years of disappointments! And of course the cherry on top for all of South America was that Chile didn't qualify... 😏

Well, here we are now... A little late in the game, but nevertheless within the 4 year celebration period: VIVE LA FRANCE.

Pierre gets the last laugh, and of course as a loyal wife I get to enjoy the victory as well. So here is a small post in honor of my husband's country, who was able to out play Australia (oof what a game.. they almost couldn't come together!), PERU (who helped them re group), Denmark (a tie is a win in this case), Argentina (what a game!), Belgium, and Croatia.

Cocorico! Allez les bleus!
